"90 out of 100 - A small neighbor of Monbousquet (only 5 acres in size), this is a 100% Merlot wine made from 35-year-old vines cropped at 28 hectoliters per hectare. With admirable size, intensity, and power, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2000 offers thick, chewy, black cherry, and currant fruit, medium to full body, low acidity, and layers of glycerin. It should be delicious young, but evolve for 12 years. The vineyard produced 625 cases in 2000." - R.M.P., Jr.
"91 out of 100 - Bright blackberry aromas, with hints of Indian spices. Full-bodied, with thick, but fine tannins and a long, fruity finish. Just a baby. I am not familiar with this estate, but it made an excellent wine in 2000. Best after 2007. 625 cases made." - W.S.
