(88-90) out of 100...Dark ruby/purple in colour, the Puy-Blanquet has a pointed, lifted bouquet with touches of cassis, blueberry and violet. Very tight and linear at the moment. The palate is not complex with slightly gritty tannins, a touch of hardness that should dissipate by the time of bottling. It mellows nicely with aeration with a slightly tinny finish. Fine. Tasted April 2011. - Neal Martin, Wine Journal
