"92 out of 100...Ex-cellar bottle served at Chateau Coutet. The ’98 Coutet has a slightly lighter colour than the ’01. It has a typical Barsac bouquet that is fresh and well defined with aromas of pear, dried apricot, mango and a faint adhesive aroma that is actually quite attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with an attractive viscous entry, notes of spice, ginger, a touch of lemon curd, dried lemon and Seville orange marmalade. It shows a little more harmony than the ’01 at this stage, very good length. Excellent. Drink now-2025+ Tasted April 2010." - Neal Martin, Wine Journal
