Tasted today (6/15/2011) with Venica's export manager at our offices in Wood Dale. These are wonderful wines with great history combined with cutting edge wine-making. Venica uses 55 microclimates that are spread on 7 different hills from 300-400 meters above sea level. This great terroir provides unique characters to each of the vines and when blended together creates a wine of great complexity.
This wonderfully constructed friulano is produced from the highest vineyard (350m) and is from 50 year old vines.
