"97 out of 100...A candidate for wine of the vintage, the 2007 Graham’s Vintage Port is complete in every way. Opaque purple-colored, it offers up an ethereal perfume of smoke, mineral, Asian spices, incense, an amalgam of ripe black fruits, and a hint of chocolate in the background. This leads to a dense, super-rich, plush, opulent wine that hides its structure under all the fruit. Vibrant, impeccably balanced, and exceptionally lengthy, it will easily age for another 25-30 years in the cellar and drink well through 2050, probably longer. It is a tour de force." - WA
"(93-95+) out of 100...Cask sample. The bouquet offers great purity and intensity, with fresh flowers, cassis, licorice, baker’s chocolate and a light dose of spirit which adds lift. Starting off as a medium-bodied Port, it gained heft over several days. Rich and voluptuous, adorned by black cherry, cassis and black raspberry flavors with a complex mid-section. In the early goings the tannins were subordinate to the fruit and the finish was clipped, but in subsequent days the refined tannins became more prominent and the aftertaste, lingering and sublime. The ’07 Graham’s seemed slightly drier than usual but still medium-sweet overall. I liked it more … the more I tasted it. The underlying tannins proved there’s a long life ahead of this Port, 30+ years easily. 6,000 cases produced (12 x 750s). Another pearl in a long strand of fine Vintage Ports by Graham’s." - Roy Hersh, For the Love of Port "96 out of 100...Rich and chewy, with masses of blueberry, blackberry and raisin character. Full-bodied and very sweet, with a long, powerful finish. Big and juicy, with ultraripe fruit. Racy and full of class. Like cashmere in texture. Best after 2018." - WS
"92 out of 100...Picked at 4.1 Baume, 40% Touriga Nacional, 25% Tinta Franca, 20% old vines, 10% Tinta Barocca and 5% Tinta Roriz, The Graham’s has an intense, earthy nose with introverted blackberry, wild hedgerow, liquorices, cassis and a touch of burnt honey. The palate is very spicy on the entry, succulent black fruits, cloves, ginger, very refined on the finish, perhaps more approachable than other 2007 ports. Very focused and harmonious but perhaps I would have like more complexity that may come with age. Tasted May 2009." - Neal Martin, Wine Journal
