"92 out of 100...Produced from Humbrecht's oldest parcel of vines in the Rotenberg vineyard, the 1998 Pinot Gris Rotenberg Vendange Tardive reveals deep, smoky apricot aromas. Harvested at a penurious 10 hectoliters per hectare, this medium-to-full-bodied wine is round, ample, with remarkable opulence. Jammy apricots and red cherries are found in its supple, sexy character. Drink it over the next 12 years." - W.A.
